Patti Gillenwater is an Executive Advisor with Luminas Strategy. Patti is a native of South Carolina who has happily called Raleigh, NC her home since 1988. She has led the Elinvar organization since 1995 and has more than 25 years of experience in executive search, leadership development and board service and applies this talent by advising nonprofit leaders and boards on strategic planning, board development, succession planning and organizational assessments as well as the selection of new leaders for their organizations.
Patti’s current board service includes Vice Chair of NC Early Childhood Foundation; Chair of the Board for NC IDEA Foundation; and member of the Leadership Council of Wake Education Partnership and on the Corporate board of NC Independent Colleges and Universities. Her past board engagements include Communities in Schools of Wake County (past-chair), Association for Corporate Growth - Raleigh/Durham Chapter (president 2001 - 2012) and Global Board of the Association for Corporate Growth (director (2008 - 2012) where she was recognized with the Meritorious Service Award in 2013.
Patti also provides board training on succession planning, diversity recruiting, board development and preparing for transition, as part of her community service to nonprofit leaders around the state.
