Taking an Outside-In Approach to Accelerating Your Growth Strategy

When the leadership team of The Executive Leadership Council (ELC) – a global professional membership organization – decided to focus on gaining personal insights from their stakeholders’ point of view, they learned first-hand about the value they deliver to members, and other key stakeholders, and what differentiates the ELC from other similar organizations.
Hear key leaders at the ELC explain why they chose to engage with Luminas through the Stakeholder Value Xcelerator™ and describe the long-term impact the engagement is having on the organization’s strategic approach to driving growth among members and other stakeholders.
Understanding the Facts Before Making Strategic Decisions

The Executive Leadership Council (ELC) has multiple stakeholder groups, from sponsors and member affiliate companies to participants in its professional development program offerings. Because of stakeholder diversity, the organization’s leaders were eager to learn the facts about the value they were delivering to the different groups and in particular, what value members were receiving uniquely from the ELC versus other professional organizations, as well as the stakeholders’ perspective on how and where the organization can deliver greater value in the future.
The ELC’s Stakeholder Value Xcelerator™ engagement took place in the midst of the COVID19 pandemic. By listening to stakeholder feedback, the leadership team learned about the unique and emerging needs of its members during this time of uncertainty. As a result, the organization was able to incorporate feedback and insights to become agile and pivot to provide positive connections and opportunities for community.
